last night i watched sci-fi cult film, “a boy and his dog.” above is the trailer.
this movie stars don johnson as vic, who ambles around a post-apocalyptic landscape with his highly intelligent, dry-witted, sardonic, telepathic dog, blood. . world war IV has left the surface world desolate, barren, and devoid of any of the common social dignities that allowed such luxuries as not being enslaved by a dastardly fat man who rides around on a modded out golf cart and forces you to arbitrarily dig holes while he eats peaches. vic is a happy bandit, sharing sunsets with his loyal dog, looking for popcorn to eat and women to rape, until he is abducted by a dystopian underground society bent on harvesting his sperm.
vic realizes that perhaps the surface world, even for it’s canned-peach eating despots, may be a more civilized place. hell, at least you can get into a straightforward fight with a man over a can of beans on the surface, amiright?
