Year(s): 1995-1996In the 1995-1996 season, the Seattle SuperSonics changed their get-up from the green/gold Helvetica uni’s to the forest green and brick Space Needle threads. With the new look, and new kicks, Shawn Kemp (along with Detlef Schrempf, Hersey Hawkins, Sam Perkins, and Gary Payton) led the Sonics to their first NBA Finals since 1979. MJ and the Bulls would become the victors (obvs) but Shawn Kemp and his Kamikaze’s definitely had something to say.
Ironically though, Shawn’s best season numbers-wise was two years later when he was overweight battling alcohol and coke addiction with the Cavs. Guess it’s not the shoes then huh?
had these in forest green and black. fourth grade. the same year that our class hamster had babies and one of their heads got crushed under the edge of the cage and then mike grosser played with it like it was a little marionette and i got super mad and told on him.
